  DO NOT BUY FISH OR ANYTHING AQUATIC. Petland is a hit or miss store. This one has awesome staff that are as helpful as possible. The dog staff and cashiers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The fish staff are hit or miss. Some seem to know a little and some seem to wing it and pretend they know what they are talking about. They will order dog foods that you need if they don’t have it and are good with keeping up with that kind of thing. Don’t buy fish or any of that from here. The staff will even tell you they aren’t known for living long.

  I give this place 4 stars ONLY because of how incredible MICHAEL is. He is such a sweet person and was extremely helpful!!! He was attentive and spent a lot of time helping me. HOWEVER! There was another worker there by the name of Alan(unsure of spelling) but he was extremely rude to Michael and caused a big scene in front of myself and other customers, yelling at Michael as he was trying to help me. I’ve never seen someone so unprofessional in my entire life. I can understand worker “quarrels” however I will never understand yelling and disrespecting someone in front of customers. Alan was EXTREMELY rude, and I left promptly after that scene without purchasing what I needed because of it. There was also another heavier set woman there who I had informed (as Michael was helping another customer) that the puppy I was playing with had gone to the bathroom in the play pen. INSTEAD OF JUST CLEANING IT UP, she proceeded to go all around the store looking for Michael so that he could clean it up. What the hell? What kind of people are you guys hiring? Michael is a gem and was very kind and sweet to me but these other two were rude and obviously did not want to do their jobs.

  I've seen baby bearded dragons that were half dead, a bearded dragon who was mean and trying to bite people (how the hell can a dragon grow up to be mean? Abuse? Neglect? Starvation?) Crickets I've purchased here have been full of dead ones that I only realized after the 5 minute car ride home, and covered in skin molts that never came off. And on top of it all their puppies are kept in horrible conditions and always seem miserable and suffering. The birds all seem extremely stressed and terrorised with children And adults shoving their arms in to try and force one on it. Adopt, don't shop!!
