  I was willing to pay $60 more at Office Depot than Amazon to get a fax machine immediately and not wait on shipping. Too bad there was nobody to ring me up. There was a sign directing me to pay at the copy center. The one employee there wasn't willing to take 45 seconds to ring up my two items...he was in the middle of doing something for a print customer but seriously, I had two items that would have totalled over $200. He said something into his ear piece thing and said somebody was on the way. I waited a few minutes then left my cart at the check out, went to my car and ordered my fax machine on Amazon. Big box stores just can't compete with Amazon's automation. A self checkout would be smart if you're not going to have enough staff to help the customers that was still willing to TRY to shop with you.
